Report Issues to NONM
To report an issue to NONM please visit your local NONM leader. Your local NONM leader will either handle the issue with management at facility level or will report to a higher NONM office.
Reporting issues starting from facility level will help us achieve our efforts to decentralize. It is also faster and convenient to sort out issues that way.
To report an issue to NONM whether personal or one that concerns many people please visit your local NONM leader. Your local NONM leader, with the assistance of other executive committee members, will either handle the issue with management at facility level or will report to a higher NONM office if it is necessary to take the issue to a higher level.
Why Does It Have to Happen Like That?
There are two main reasons why things have to happen that way. The first is that when we talk of NONM, we mean the members at the facilities. So, we want to empower them from the very grassroot where they come from. If we have strong branches at the facilities, we can be sure that we have a living organization. In simple terms, we are working towards a decentralized NONM.
In addition to that, doing things that way will speed up the sorting out of issues as compared to waiting for NONM officials to come all the way from the secretariat even for issues that can be dealt with locally.
Secondly, when we do that, we are abiding by our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To maintain sanity in the organization, there are various procedures which were set for our guidance. One is to do with the handling of issues and general communication where it is stated that issues must first be reported to the local leaders of the facility where the incident has occurred.
Apparently, there’s more to gain in doing things this way.
